Parkinson’s disease is a progressive neurodegenerative disorder that affects the nervous system, particularly the parts of the brain that control movement. The disease develops gradually and may begin with mild, non-specific early symptoms.

Main Symptoms (Motor):

• Tremor: Shaking or trembling that often begins in one limb, usually the hand or fingers, especially at rest.
• Bradykinesia: Slowness of movement, making simple tasks difficult and time-consuming. Steps may become shorter while walking, or it may be hard to rise from a chair.
• Muscle Rigidity: Stiffness in the limbs, neck, or trunk that can limit range of motion and cause pain.
• Balance and Postural Problems (Postural Instability): Posture may become stooped, and patients may experience balance difficulties that increase the risk of falls (usually appearing in later stages of the disease).
