Hospital of the Year Asia Pacific 2025 Award

National Hospital Receives “Hospital of the Year” Award at the Asia Pacific Level 2025, Committed to Delivering a Wide Range of Healthcare Innovations

Bangkok, Thailand – National Hospital made a strong impression on the red carpet at the Global Health Asia Pacific Awards held in Bangkok, Thailand. The hospital proudly brought home the award for Hospital of the Year for Indonesia at the Asia Pacific 2025 level.

This recognition from Global Health Asia Pacific 2025 adds to National Hospital’s list of achievements this year. CEO Ang Hoey Tiong and General Manager Hanny Cahyadi attended the prestigious awards night.

“This award is a testament to the hard work of the entire team at National Hospital—from doctors and nurses to all staff members,” said Ang Hoey Tiong in Bangkok.

He further explained that National Hospital continues to launch various healthcare innovations—from establishing more specific Centers of Excellence tailored to community needs, to enhancing medical equipment for patient diagnostics, including equipping these tools with Artificial Intelligence (AI).

“When it comes to AI, National Hospital has been moving hand in hand with this technology since 2023. We were the first in East Java and Eastern Indonesia to introduce AI-powered 3T MRI, leading the way,” he added.

Ang Hoey Tiong stated that the AI-powered MRI at National Hospital is consistently in high demand. “The advantage of this AI-based 3T MRI is that it offers patients a more comfortable and faster scanning experience,” he noted.

AI systems are not limited to MRI. According to Ang Hoey Tiong, several other diagnostic tools have also been equipped with AI, including ABUS breast cancer screening, prostate screening, and even the National Hospital Apps, which also incorporate AI.

The National Hospital Apps, enhanced with AI, help patients connect with the right specialist based on their health concerns. The app is accessible anytime, 24/7.

“The National Hospital Apps also come with many advanced features—such as vaccination reminders for children, patient DNA test records, and access to all diagnostic results anytime. Everything is securely stored in the app,” he explained.

Meanwhile, Hanny Cahyadi added that from early 2025 until now, National Hospital has received several awards and numerous nominations. In February, the hospital was recognized for Best Value-Based Healthcare and Best Brain and Spine Service Provider by Global Health Indonesia 2025.

“And from Health Asia Care 2025, National Hospital received the ICT Hospital Award for the second time,” Hanny said.

The University of Surabaya (Ubaya) alumnus affirmed National Hospital’s ongoing commitment to remain at the forefront of innovation in the healthcare industry.

The series of innovations developed by National Hospital was one of the key factors considered in the assessment by Global Health Asia Pacific 2025.
